Two County Championships. One Proud Summer Tradition.
Take your shot at one of La Crosse County’s longest-running golf traditions. The 36th Annual La Crosse County Amateur Golf Championships bring together local amateur golfers for two competitive events: the Dahl Automotive Men’s County Amateur and the Kwik Trip Seniors County Amateur.
Compete by flight, test your game, and be part of a championship tradition built for golfers across the county.
Men’s County Amateur
Saturday, August 1 & Sunday, August 2, 2026
The Golf Club at Cedar Creek & Drugan’s Castle Mound
Entry Deadline: Monday, July 27
Entry Fee: $150
Includes greens fee, golf cart, and prize purse.
Tournament Format
The Men’s County Amateur is a 36-hole stroke play tournament with the following flights:
- Championship Flight – Index 3.6 or less
- 1st Flight – Index 3.7–8.3 (Players in this flight may declare Championship Flight)
- 2nd Flight – Index 8.4–13.2
- 3rd Flight – Index 13.3 and above
- Senior 70 and Older Net Flight – 80% handicap – Gold tees – Net 36-hole competition
Course Rotation
Championship and 1st Flight players will play Saturday at Cedar Creek and Sunday at Drugan’s Castle Mound. 2nd Flight, 3rd Flight and Senior 70 and Older Net Flight players will play Saturday at Drugan’s Castle Mound and Sunday at Cedar Creek.
Tee Times & Pairings
Tee times will be emailed and posted at each course and online on Thursday, July 30, 2026. Tee times begin at 7:30 a.m. both days at Cedar Creek and 7 a.m. both days at Drugan’s Castle Mound. All players will be paired by the Rules and Pairings Committee. New pairings will be made for the second day based on first-round scores.
Awards
An awards ceremony for all Men’s County Amateur flights will be held at Drugan’s Castle Mound after the final round on Sunday.
Handicap Requirements
All golfers must have a current United States Golf Association handicap as of July 1, 2026. Players will be placed in flights based on their USGA index. Players with an index of 3.7–8.3 may declare Championship Flight in the Men’s County Amateur.
Tournament Notes
- Golf carts are mandatory for all tournaments and are included in your entry fee.
- No entry fee will be refunded after the tournament deadline.
- The Men’s County Amateur deadline is Monday, July 27, 2026.
- The Tournament Committee reserves the right to refuse or disqualify any player who does not meet tournament criteria.
- In the event of inclement weather, it is the player’s responsibility to check with the host golf course for schedule changes.
Eligibility Requirements
All players must be male amateur golfers and meet at least one of the following requirements:
- Resident of La Crosse County
- Employed in La Crosse County
- Active member at a golf course within La Crosse County
- Past champion, placed in flight based on index
- Graduate of a La Crosse County high school, university, or college
- High school players must be residents of La Crosse County.
Practice Rounds
The Golf Club at Cedar Creek is a private course and has set aside Friday, July 24, 2026, as the practice day for County Amateur players. To schedule a practice round, call Cedar Creek at (608) 783-8300 and identify that you are playing a La Crosse County Amateur practice round. Practice round fee is $55 plus tax and includes 18 holes and cart.

FOREST HILLS
Seniors County Amateur

Tournament Format
The Seniors County Amateur is an 18-hole stroke play tournament for male amateur golfers age 50 and older as of July 25, 2026.
Golfers will compete in three flights:
- Championship Flight – Index 8.0 or less
- Net Flight – Index 8.1 and above – 80% handicap
- Super Senior Net Flight – Age 70 and older – 80% handicap
Tee Times & Pairings
Tee times will be emailed and posted at each course and online on Thursday, July 23, 2026. All players will be paired by the Rules and Pairings Committee.
Awards
An awards ceremony for all Seniors County Amateur flights will be held at Forest Hills.
